(YDI), the leading distributor of broadband solutions for Wireless Internet Service Providers (WISP), common carriers and mobile carriers, has placed an order for interWAVE's WaveNet Link CX, high-capacity radio. YDI will deploy interWAVE's solution to deliver high-speed, Internet access to homes, Small Offices/Home Offices (SOHO) business users throughout North America.

interWAVE's WaveNet Link CX product line of point-to-point, high-capacity, all-outdoor radios is optimized for backhaul of converged voice and data in second generation (2G) to third generation (3G) mobile networks. Working in the 5.3 GHz UNII band and 5.8 GHz ISM band spectrums, the WaveNet Link CX includes such features as automatic transmit power control, which minimizes interference from other radios; E3, DS3 and 10/100 Base-T digital interface options, which allow wireless network planners with similar wireline services to provide state-of-the-art transmission over Internet Protocol (IP); forward error correction, which increases radio reliability and allows it to seamlessly intermix wireline, wireless and fiber technologies; fully-hardened outdoor packaging allows the radio to be deployed completely outdoors in environments that range between minus 33 degrees Celsius to plus 60 degrees Celsius as well as Telco-grade design and performance, which enables long-lasting radio performance.
