The USB-ANT™ is an IEEE 802.11b Wireless LAN adapter with a USB interface built into a high-gain 2.4 GHz flat panel antenna. With an over-the-air data rate of 11 Mbps, 128 bit WEP encryption and a line of sight range of up to 5 miles, the USB-ANT™ offers Wireless Internet Service Providers (WISP) a great solution to their last mile wireless links to their client. The integrated form factor eliminates coax cable loss since the radio is in the antenna. This gives the maximum possible range and makes installation so simple that in many instances the USB-ANT™ can be self-installed by the customer, reducing or eliminating the need for truck rolls. The USB-ANT™ provides the lowest cost customer premise equipment (CPE) solution with the ease of connecting with the client equipment through a simple USB interface. No longer will WISPs using the license free 2.4 GHz band need to open customer's computers to utilize long-range, low-cost CPE equipment!
