Falls Church, VA — September 7, 2004: YDI Wireless, Inc. (NASDAQ:YDIW), a leading developer and supplier of broadband wireless solutions, today announced that it will conduct business as Terabeam Wireless moving forward. Its corporate name and ticker symbol are not currently being changed.
Changing its business name is another step the company is taking in the integration of the recently acquired businesses. YDI had been considering a change of its name to reflect its broadening business, and the acquisition of the businesses recently provided a perfect opportunity.
After much consideration, the company chose Terabeam Wireless. This name is a blend from the recently acquired Terabeam Corporation and YDI Wireless. The use of “Terabeam” reflects the substantial investment Terabeam Corporation made in developing recognition for that name as well as an impressive reputation for developing high-capacity, carrier-class wireless products. The continued use of “Wireless” continues to emphasize the overall company’s continued focus on wireless communications.
