Description

The Terabeam Wireless exclusive WIPOP-In-a-Box™ (WIB) is a complete two, three or four-channel WIPOP system in a heavy-duty outdoor waterproof enclosure. All that is needed is Terabeam Wireless antennas, TeraStar WIPOP in a Box - Interior coax cables, and AC power.

The WIPOP-In-a-Box™ comes equipped with either a Terabeam Wireless AP-Plus Access Point, pre-loaded with AP+ Firmware upgrade. You may load the Access Point with TurboCell^®, Base or Remote and get enhanced features. You can then add another Access Point to get three or four channels with the desired options. Each channel is provided with a YDI Wireless LAN card.

This product is ideal for use as a multi-channel WIPOP, a singlechannel base station with the other channel providing a backbone link, or as a remote relay site. It is available with internal amplifiers, external amplifiers, and/or 2.4 GHz to 5.8 GHz converters.

The rugged outdoor enclosure can be bolted to the leg of a radio tower, the outside wall of a building, or in an indoor equipment room. A heater option (for 110 VAC) enables operation down to - 40°C! A pair of cylindrical locks prevents access to the inside without the proper key. Two pipe fittings (one for AC power, one for data) provide secure wiring entry into the box. Connections to the external amplifiers/converters/antennas are made via two, three or four waterproof N-female bulkhead mount connectors. The WIPOP-In-a-Box™ is FCC certified with YDI’s outdoor antennas and amplifiers.
