Notice to KB20 Customers

To our valued customers who use KB20-based products:

Version 5.02 of the TurboCell Kernel incorporates a fundamental protocol change and is incompatible with Version 5.00 of the TurboCell Kernel.

We recommend that you upgrade any KB20 hardware devices (Point-to-Point Units, Wireless Base Stations, Wireless Repeater Units, Wireless Clients) to Version 5.02 because future releases of the TurboCell Kernel will be based on this version. However, if you upgrade to Version 5.02 from Version 5.00, you must upgrade every Version 5.00 hardware device in your network. It is also imperative that you upgrade any Version 5.00 Satellite/Client stations in your network before you upgrade the Version 5.00 Base stations in your network.

You also need to make sure that you are using the latest version (v5.02) of the TurboCell Windows Configurator with v5.02 of the TurboCell Kernel.

Instructions to upgrade your firmware, once you have obtained the needed files, can be found in the Configurator’s online help file (config.chm, included in the CD that accompanied your product) under Contents -> Using the Configurator -> Upgrading to New Firmware.
